NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, has announced the reopening of the
Harlem Information Kiosk
is within the
Studio Museum in Harlem
The kiosk will be open to the public Monday through Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will be closed on major holidays. The kiosk, which will be staffed with an NYC & Company Information Specialist, will offer information specific to Harlem and nearby neighborhoods, as well as general City information.
“We’re excited to reopen our Harlem information kiosk, which will serve residents and visitors in Harlem and uptown neighborhoods,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. “We are pleased to partner with the Studio Museum in Harlem to create a facility that we expect will attract even more customers and provide timely information about what to see and do in the city and promote the incredible variety of attractions and cultural events in the area.

HARLEM — Accusations that a new East Harlem burger joint ripped off popular competitor Shake Shack apparently gave the store an unexpected boost among the city's food connoiseurs.
Second Avenue eatery Milk Burger — whose menu, design features and even a photo of its signature burger have been blasted for their strong similarities to Shake Shack — has seen an uptick in business thanks to one high-profile new fan, said owner Erik Mayor.
Ottavia Bourdain, wife of food personality Anthony Bourdain, tweeted last week that she had forsaken her beloved Shack Burger for Milk Burger.

NEW YORK, New York — After a ten year stay, former President Bill Clinton is moving the headquarters of his William J. Clinton Foundation out of “The Black Capital Of America.”
Though Clinton will reportedly be keeping a small office on Harlem’s West 125th street, most of his nonprofit foundation will be moved downtown to the financial district. Citing the need for space and cost-cutting, the move is expected to be finalized in the next few weeks.
“Price was probably the most paramount factor,” said Roshan Shah, senior vice president at CB Richard Ellis, the real estate firm charged with negotiating the foundation’s move.

Morris Houses Employee Saves NYCHA Youth—Becomes Local Hero
When a young boy was left pinned under a car after being hit by a taxi cab, Sabrina Johnson, a NYCHA caretaker and resident at the Grant Houses, did what she felt she had to do: lift the rear of the car while another good Samaritan dragged the boy from underneath the car.
“I’m a mom and when I saw what happened, I told the lady [Dr. Sabrina Martin, who also witnessed the incident] that we had to lift the car,” said Ms. Johnson. “My adrenaline kicked in and I was able to lift the car while she [Dr. Martin] dragged him out.”
The incident occurred early Wednesday evening when 10-year-old Jaden Torres, another resident of Grant Houses, ran across the street while playing near the development.
“I was so happy that I was there,” said Ms. Johnson, who was on her way home from work when the incident occurred. “Angels really protected him at that moment with a strong woman and a doctor.”
The boy was examined by Dr. Martin, a pediatrician who was visiting her mother Sara Martin, Tenant Association president at Grant Houses, and was then taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Ms. Johnson, who has lived in NYCHA for almost 40 years and worked as a caretaker for the past 10 years, has three children ages 10, 19 and 23. When her youngest son Joe-El saw her on the news on Thursday morning, he commented to her that the boy she saved was his “skelzies” playmate ( skelzies is a street game played by children using bottle caps as play pieces).
“My son said to me ‘Mom, you’re my hero. You saved my skelzies partner,’” Ms. Johnson said, beaming.
